Breakout: Facing Major Challenges in the Automation Industry - Unlocking the Potential of Virtual Commissioning

The automation industry is experiencing a profound transformation, driven by the demand for shorter time-to-market, increasing global competition and a growing shortage of qualified engineers. In this context, digital technologies such as virtual commissioning (VC) are becoming indispensable tools that unlock new potentials for facing these challenges now and beyond.

Simulating and testing systems in a virtual environment offers numerous advantages. The new approach improves not only the overall efficiency, but also the quality and safety of complex automation processes. On the other hand, there are also considerable challenges to overcome when introducing virtual commissioning.

In this session, XENON as an engineering user and Fraunhofer IWU from a research perspective, will provide exclusive insights into the latest developments, challenges and potentials – followed by a panel discussion with leading automation experts.
